How often will we visit?

We offer the choice of visits every 5–6 weeks or 10–12 weeks. However, we ask for some flexibility with these timescales due to weather conditions.

Bad Weather

We will continue to work in light rain or short showers, and we promise that the quality of the results will remain the same. If the rain is heavy and persistent, we will not clean your windows. In this case, your clean will be carried over to the next available working day.

Turning Us Away

We aim to be as reliable as possible and appreciate the same reliability from our customers. Time and space are reserved in our schedule specifically for your clean. On the day of the appointment, it is usually too late for us to replace your slot with another job.
If you turn us away at the door or cancel with the office on the day of the clean, we reserve the right to charge the full expected price and/or cancel any ongoing service.

Ending Our Services

If you wish to cancel our services for any reason, you may do so at any time. Please contact us by telephone on 07918 146407 or by email at info@hugheswindowcleaning.co.uk.

Complaints Procedure

We always aim to provide the highest standard of service. If you are not satisfied with our work for any reason, please contact us within 24 hours of the clean. We will then return the next working day to re-clean your windows free of charge.
Please note that complaints made after 24 hours may not be eligible for a re-clean.

Confidentiality

All customer information is stored securely on a confidential database and is not discussed or shared with any individual or company, in accordance with the Data Protection Act.

Payment

Our preferred payment method is bank transfer. However, we also accept cash and cheques. We kindly request that all payments are made within 3 working days of the clean.

Our Methods

Reach and Wash Window Cleaning

We use a professional Reach and Wash system manufactured by Ionic Systems Ltd to safely access and clean your windows. This system uses 100% purified water and no chemicals or detergents, making it completely safe for people, plants, pets, children, and the environment.

The purified water is transported in our vehicles, and we arrive fully equipped to carry out the work. Water is pumped from the van through hose lines and up telescopic poles, allowing us to scrub dirt from frames, sills, and glass.

We ask that:

• Access around your property is clear

• All windows and doors are closed

After cleaning, surfaces are left to dry naturally. Because the water is purified, it dries spot-free, leaving no marks.

We can clean windows up to a height of 45ft. Cleaning is limited to areas with a clear line of sight; some angles or recessed surfaces may not be accessible.

Traditional Squeegees and Ladders

In certain situations, traditional cleaning methods are still appropriate. For example, where access to low-level flat roofs is required, we may use ladders to safely carry out the work.

Insurance

Our company and public liability insurance is arranged through Alexander Swan, specialists in insurance for window cleaning companies using the Reach and Wash system. Our public liability cover is £2 million.
